During residency for his Master of Divinity studies, Dr. Busenitz served as youth pastor and associate pastor in Downey, California. He subsequently served for two years as a representative for Evangelism-In-Depth, a ministry involving leadership in church growth seminars in the Southwest.
In 1972, Dr. Busenitz was presented the John Solomon Award for excellence in Semitics and Old Testament. From 1974 to 1986, he was a member of the Bible Exposition faculty at Talbot Theological Seminary, and from 1977 to 1986 he also served as director of their Valley Extension Campus. Dr. Busenitz became a founding member of The Master's Seminary administration and faculty in 1986.
Dr. Busenitz has done post-doctoral study at the American Institute of Holy Land Studies and has authored books and articles for journals and periodicals. He is active in his local church and in Bible conference ministries.
Dr. Busenitz and his wife Karen have been married for over 40 years and have been blessed with two married sons and six grandchildren.
